Type-C connector is a single-connector solution that can be used for data, power, and A/V applications. Its slim form factor is suitable for mobile devices, while its durability makes it suitable for industrial applications. Recently, the European Union has also mandated the unified use of Type-C interfaces for electronic devices. Given the increasing application scenarios of Type-C connectors, performance requirements are imposed on factors such as high-frequency signals, mechanical characteristics, electrical performance, and environmental changes. Professional laboratories and certification bodies will also conduct relevant testing and verification for the content required in electrical testing (Electrical Test), mechanical testing (Mechanical Test), and environmental testing (Environmental Test), ensuring that manufacturers' products comply with association standards. To ensure product reliability and sustainability, today we will briefly understand the manufacturing process of this interface. The manufacturing process of Type-C connectors typically begins with stamping the plug. Stamping is performed using medium-to-large high-speed stamping machines, where the Type-C connector (plug) is stamped from a thin metal strip. One end of a large roll of metal strip is fed to the front of the stamping machine, while the other end passes over the hydraulic press operation table of the stamping machine and is wound onto a reel eccentric wheel, which pulls the metal strip out and winds it up to stamp out the finished terminal.
